WikiLeaks scandals continue using disclosure of Central Intelligence Agency paperwork

The release of documents pertaining to the war in Afghanistan by WikiLeaks has been the cause of a great deal of controversy. Details that could endanger soldiers’ lives will never be posted, insists WikiLeaks, but that does not mean all activity on the site has slowed to a crawl. Another release from the site is quite interesting. It is a Central Intelligence Agency report exploring how the United States exports terrorism. The Central Intelligence Agency and also the Pentagon insist the report is basically harmless, however aren’t thrilled with its publication.

Top Secret document from Cia published on WikiLeaks

WikiLeaks posted a CIA report on its site, according to CNN, which was previously top secret. The report, “What if Foreigners see the United States as ‘Exporter of Terrorism?’”, explores the possibility of America or Americans possibly having exported terrorism. How was it found? No one knows. There are real examples, for instance the IRA receiving funding from Irish Americans and Israeli terrorist groups receiving support from Jewish Americans. The record is mostly about potential fallout. The main concern is what could happen if other nations see the United States as an exporter of terrorism.

All in a day’s work at Red Cell

The CIA has a group called Red Cell. The report is clearly theirs. The purpose of this group is to examine any weaknesses or theories that challenge conventional dogma of U.S. policy. More or less, the job of Red Cell is to take a look at things from a different point of view. The CIA isn’t happy with the leak. Neither is the Pentagon. The Central Intelligence Agency has essentially said the report is not a threat. Nevertheless, the Department of Defense and the Cia want any of their papers back.

WikiLeaks top shot in deep trouble

The founder and editor of WikiLeaks is Julian Assange. He is no stranger to scandal. There was an arrest made in absentia of Assange in Sweden on rape charges. The warrant was revoked by a judge the day following the charges were filed. Assange purports the charges were a smear conspiracy. He says that governments are after him. He has been in legal trouble for hacking in Australia, his home country.
